Our main need is landlords who have studio flats, bedsits or one bedroomed flats to let. We need landlords who are willing to let to tenants on housing benefits. Our directors are landlords themselves, some for vulnerable clients, so we have first hand experience of the issues involved.
Our clients are looking in the Brighton and Hove and general area, including Shoreham, Newhaven and everywhere between.
We take good care of our landlords. We choose clients who are able to manage a tenancy and have either attended a recognised Tenancy Training course or received personal one to one training. Our clients engage with our Umbrella Resettlement Coordinator who can offer support in the event of any issues so that these are dealt with promptly and efficiently. Our clients are often on benefits, some have jobs. Many don’t have a guarantor.
Please get in touch if you might be willing to consider using your property in this way. We could talk in more detail.
In November 2017 a report by the charity Shelter estimated that Brighton and Hove had 144 street homeless as well as 4,074 living in temporary accommodation. These figures ignore the “hidden homeless” such as sofa surfers or those under treat of eviction, but even so this ratio of one in 69 of the population is the highest outside London
